How Sports Drinks Increase Your Cycling Performance

If you are an intermediate cyclist, then you will be more likely to be interested in sports drinks. Although drinking water is already a good habit, consuming sports drink can elevate your cycling performance, especially during long distance rides.

One of the common sports drinks is Gatorade. So are they really beneficial to us Some cyclists might question the use of these products, especially beginners.

In learning about the truth, we need to find out about glycogen. Glycogen is the compound in which sugar is stored in the liver for release to other parts of the body. In simple sense, glycogen is your energy.

The truth is, your muscles themselves are fueled by glycogen. They are also stored in muscles, other than the liver. However, long cycling rides will last approximately 3 hours or more. This is a problem because the glucose reserves can only last you about 90 minutes, provided that you give your best effort when cycling hard.

Grasping The Nature of Performance

Whether it concerns sports or work, it is strangely easy to see when a performance is successful. However, explaining the reasons for this performance is almost impossible. If I ask you why so and so succeeded, you will probably tell me that this person persevered, remained concentrated, that heshe set targets for himherself, that heshe maintained an iron discipline and so on. For many people, these explanations evoke powerful emotions because the human mind links them to concepts of performance and success, while in fact they are very general explanations. Actually, just like me you probably know intelligent people who persevered, who set targets for themselves, who maintained an iron discipline and yet who never reached success.

The worst part of it is that, with the same explanations, the person who set impressive targets for himself and failed is often seen as an idiot while the other who succeeds as a hero. Are we not sometimes strange beings with doubtful judgment

Regaining Your Competing Comfidence – NLP Sport Today

When I run any adverts for my NLP courses I always use the word pragmatic in the description of the course. Something which always bothered me about my profession was that claims were sometimes that NLP was all you needed, it could change anything and you could create changes in any sphere you wished.

What bothered me most was that ultimately our profession was doing exactly the same as others and in fact limiting itself within its own boundaries as the only choice
One of the main themes of Neuro Linguistic Programming is that it is not a do to process, it is a do with which I perceived always to be an encompassing statement of not only the client or groups you are working but also the learning and experience you are developing and in effect the evolution of the techniques you are using.

Now, the only way we can do this is by learning, understanding and utilizing the expertise and experience of other professions to in fact make it as do with as possible and in turn making the entire discipline as beneficial to those we work with as possible.
The ethics and original intent of NLP work incredibly well with other professions and frequently there is an overlap which when taken out of its own context bear similarity and therefore should in fact be complimentary to one another.
